When a stone has deteriorated past its original surface texture, carved features or has spalled, it’s time to consider stone replacement or stone patching repair.

Hairline cracking can be repaired with various methods, such as an epoxy injection or in severe instances, a process called stitching can be used which involves widening a joint and installing stainless steel pins adjacent to the crack in the stone and filling with epoxy and a clear coat gel to fix the existing stone. Small spalls can be patched with a cementious stone patching material custom made to match the color of the original stone.
