Tuckpoint Broken Brick or Stone Rather than Replace.

In some instances, it is perfectly acceptable to tuckpoint broken brick or stone in lieu of cutting out and replacing the masonry in question, particularly when one’s budget is tight.

If the brick or stone has not disintegrated and is merely cracked, a tuckpointer can cut back the fractured piece, then filling with repair mortar.
